Using the dashboard

The dashboard at pdf.gevell.com/dashboard is home base for Gevell PDF. It lists every file you have uploaded, shows where each one stands, and gives you the actions you need to download, rename, refund, or delete it. For a single document, the conversion wizard is a simpler alternative.

  • Navigation — Dashboard, Docs, Settings, and Support links.
  • Notifications — the bell icon opens your recent notifications, and each one can be dismissed.
  • Upload area — drag files here, or use browse, folder upload, or Enter URL. See Uploading files.
  • Auto-convert on upload — a switch above your file list. When it is on, every upload starts converting right away. Turn it off and new files wait for you, so you can review the estimated cost before you convert (see Controlling costs).
  • File statistics — a summary strip showing your files, avg score, issues, and processing counts.
  • Your files — the list described below.

If the connection to our servers drops, a Connection lost — retrying… message appears and the page reconnects on its own.

Each file is a row (or a card on small screens) showing its name, size, status, accessibility score, and upload date. Select a row to expand it and see its downloads. The date and score columns are hidden on narrow screens.

Use the tabs above the list to narrow it down:

File filter tabs
Tab Shows
All Every file
Processing Files being uploaded, analyzed, or converted
Completed Files that finished converting
Audit Failed Completed files whose accessibility check did not fully pass
Failed Files that could not be converted

You can sort the list by name, size, status, or upload date by selecting a column heading.

Each file shows a status badge: uploading, scanning, uploaded (waiting to be converted), processing, validating, fixing, or completed. A file that could not be converted shows as failed, and the row explains what to do next.

The score is the file’s accessibility score from 0 to 100%. A file that reaches 100% carries a WCAG AA badge. Hover over the score to see how it was measured. Files without a score yet show a dash. See WCAG reports for what the checks cover.

If only some pages of a document could be converted, the row says which pages failed, and those pages are not charged.

Expand a completed file to see its outputs. See Downloading and previewing and Previewing results.

While a file is converting, its row may offer Cancel, which stops the conversion and keeps the file, and Process now, which skips waiting for batch processing and converts it immediately.

The More actions menu on each row includes:

  • Settings — document styling and branding. See Downloading and previewing.
  • Rename — change the display name shown on the dashboard.
  • Refund — return the cost of a conversion you have not downloaded. See Refunds.
  • Delete — permanently remove the file. This cannot be undone.

You can also select several files and delete them together. A confirmation lists how many files will be removed.

The dashboard does not show your balance. Open Settings, then Billing & Credits, to see your balance, daily and monthly usage meters against any limits you have set, budget alerts, and your transaction history. See Billing & credits.
